World Biofuels Forum
A conference held in June in Prague brought together a range of
organisations involved in biofuel production. In Europe the industry is
facing something of a crisis as subsidised biofuels and vegetable oils
from the Americas are being dumped on the market. Several European
companies have gone out of business before the industry has really got
going. Meanwhile the European Commission is trying to establish rules
for sustainable production of biofuels.
